Mar 06, I actually used these stair treads for shelves in my kitchen. They are sturdy, and nicely made with beautiful oak grain. They took up stain very well and the quality made product did not disappoint when I cut them to fit my project. Well made. I will go back to purchase one to replace a stair tread that is wearing.

The “run” is the measurement of the tread, which needs to be a minimum of 10 inches if the tread has an overhang on it (see image).
